Ingredients:
  • 6 medium size tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 medium size carrot, cut it into small pieces
  • 1 celery stick, cut it and chop it
  • 1/2 clove ginger, peeled it gently and sliced
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1/2 salt, as per your taste
  • 1/2 sugar, as per your taste
  • 1/8 tbsp black pepper
Seasoning:
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1/2 tbsp cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tbsp cilantro finely chopped
Preparation:
Heat the oil in a saucepan over a medium heat. Lightly brown the ginger. Add carrot and celery. Stir fry two minutes. Mix tomato, salt, pepper and sugar. Cook it till the tomatoes are mushy. Let the tomatoes cool, then blend it.
Heat the oil in a pan, add cumin seeds. As the cumin seeds crack, mix cilantro with it and stir them for a minute. Add the puree of tomatoes and add water to it, as per of your taste. When the soup boils, slow down the heat and let it simmer for a few minutes.

Cabbage Soup Recipe

Ingredients:
  • 1 pound elk breakfast sausage
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 teaspoon minced ginger root
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups cubed butternut squash
  • 2 beets, sliced into rounds
  • 4 red potatoes, diced
  • 4 carrots chopped
  • 1/2 medium green cabbage chopped
  • 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
Seasoning:
  • 1 tbsp hot pepper sauce
  • 2 tbsp dried drill weed, rubbed sage, thyme leaves
  • salt and black pepper to taste
Preparation:
Heat a large pot over medium heat. Cook and stir the sausage till golden brown. Drain and discard the remaining grease. Reserve the browned sausage.
Put some olive oil into the skillet. Mix ginger, garlic onion, butternut squash, beets, red potatoes, carrot and cabbage. Cook and stir for 10 minutes. Season it with hot pepper sauce, dill, thyme, salt and pepper. Add brown sausage, cream of mushroom soup and red wine vinegar. Bring to a simmer over high heat. Reduce heat and let it simmer for a few minutes.

French Onion Soup Recipe

Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cup sliced onion

  • 4 sliced French bread
  • 4 sliced provolone cheese
  • 2 slice Swiss cheese
  • 1/4 grated parsmen cheese
Seasoning:
  • 1 tbsp dried thyme
  • salt and pepper to taste
Preparation:
Melt butter with olive oil in a pan on medium heat. Add onions and stir till the onions get a golden brown color. Make a tender broth for it. Add sherry and thyme. Season it with salt and pepper and simmer it for 30 minutes. Heat the oven broiler. Ladle soup into oven safe serving bowl. Place one sliced of provolone cheese, diced swiss and parsmen cheese.
